Why use a custom domain?

A custom domain makes your short links look more professional and trustworthy. Instead of strmlinks.com/xyz, your links can look like go.yourdomain.com/xyz.

Step 1: Buy a short domain

Purchase a domain from any registrar — Cloudflare Registrar, Namecheap, or GoDaddy. Short 5–10 character domains work best for link shortening.

Step 2: Add a CNAME DNS record

In your domain registrar DNS settings, add:

Type: CNAME
Name: go (or @ for root domain)
Value: strmlinks.com
TTL: 3600

Step 3: Add the domain to your account

  1. Go to Account → Custom Domains
  2. Click Add Domain
  3. Enter your full subdomain: e.g., go.yourdomain.com
  4. Click Verify DNS

Step 4: Wait for DNS propagation

DNS changes can take 10 minutes to 48 hours to propagate globally. Once verified, your domain appears in the Domain dropdown when creating links.
